BinkGo needs a small amount of information about you to work: a phone number to sign you in, a rough location to find shops near you, and your order details so a shop can prepare your items. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to get it removed. We do not sell your personal information.
1. What you give us
When you create an account we collect your mobile number, your name, and — only if you choose to add one — your email address. Your number is verified before the account is usable.
When you order, we store what you ordered, from which shop, the amount, your pickup slot and pickup code, and the order’s status history.
When you contact Help & Support, we keep your message and our reply so we can follow up. If you apply to list your own shop, we also collect that shop’s name, address, phone number, and opening hours.
2. What the app collects on its own
To deliver notifications, your device gives us a push token — an identifier for that installation, not for you personally — along with which platform it is running (Android or iOS). The token is removed once it stops working or you sign out.
There is no analytics or crash-reporting service in the app. We do not track which screens you visit, and no usage or diagnostic data is sent to us or to anyone else.
3. Your location
Location is the heart of the app: without it we cannot tell which shops are near you or how far away they are. We ask for permission first, and you can choose an approximate location or set your area manually instead.
We send your coordinates to our servers to compute nearby shops and distances, and we keep the delivery or pickup area you select on your account so you do not have to set it every time. We do not track your location in the background or build a movement history.
You can withdraw location permission at any time in your device settings. The app keeps working; you will need to pick your area by hand, and distance estimates become less exact.
4. Permissions we ask for
Location, so we can list shops near you and show distances. Asked when you first set your area; declining is fine, you just pick your area manually.
Notifications, so we can tell you when a shop accepts your order and when it is ready to collect. Declining leaves order tracking working normally inside the app.
That is the full list. We do not ask for your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, files, or call and SMS logs, and we do not read anything else on your phone.
5. Why we use it
To sign you in and keep your session active; to show shops, products, and distances relevant to where you are; to place, prepare, track, and complete your orders; and to send you the notifications an order needs.
To keep the marketplace honest — verifying numbers, spotting duplicate accounts, and acting on repeated no-shows or abuse; to answer your support requests; to fix crashes and improve the app; and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We only use your information for the purpose it was collected for. If we ever want to use it for something new, we will ask you first.
6. Notifications
We use push notifications for the things you need to know: your order being accepted, prepared, ready for pickup, or cancelled.
You can turn notifications off for BinkGo in your device settings. Order status stays visible in the app’s Orders screen either way.
7. Who else sees your information
The shop you order from sees your name, the items, your pickup slot, and enough of your contact details to reach you about the order. It does not get your full account history or your location.
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, strictly to run the service: our hosting and database provider, Expo’s push-notification service for delivering notifications, our image storage for photos you upload, and — if online payments launch — a regulated payment provider. They may only use it for what we ask them to do.
We may disclose information where the law requires it, or to investigate fraud, safety issues, or a breach of our terms. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s independent marketing.
8. Advertising
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. To select and measure them, Google may use your device’s advertising ID — a resettable identifier for the device, not your name — along with your rough location and the app you are using. Google’s own privacy policy governs what it does with that.
You control this from your device: on Android, Settings → Google → All services → Ads lets you reset or delete the advertising ID and turn off ad personalisation. Ads remain, they just stop being tailored.
Where the law requires a consent choice (the EEA and UK), we show Google’s consent form before any ad loads, and Profile → Ad privacy options lets you change or withdraw that choice at any time. Ads are not requested at all unless a choice has been recorded.
9. How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. Order records are kept for as long as we need them for support, disputes, tax, and accounting requirements, even after your account closes.
Push tokens are dropped as soon as they stop working or you sign out. Server logs, which may briefly include an IP address, are kept for a short period for security and debugging.
10. How we protect it
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted, sessions are stored in your device’s secure storage, and passwords are hashed — never stored in a form anyone can read.
Access to production data is limited to the people who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, so if a breach ever affects your information we will notify you and the appropriate authority as the law requires.
11. Your choices and rights
You can see and correct your name, phone number, and email from your Profile at any time, and your full order history stays visible in the app.
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or complete it, ask us to delete your account and data, or withdraw a consent you previously gave. Send the request through Help & Support and we will verify that it is you before acting.
We will respond within a reasonable time. Some records — completed orders, for instance — may have to be retained for legal or accounting reasons even after an account is deleted; we will tell you if that applies.
12. Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app: Profile → Help & Support → Delete my account. Confirm with your password and it happens immediately — no email to us, no waiting for approval.
Deleted straight away: your name, phone number and email; your password and every signed-in device; your saved pickup area; your notifications and recent searches; and everything the app stored on your phone. Your phone number is freed, so you can sign up again later with the same number.
Kept: your past orders, with your personal details stripped out, because Indian tax and accounting rules require sale records to be retained; and any support conversation still open. Neither can be traced back to you afterwards.
Two things to know first. You cannot delete while an order is still in progress — collect or cancel it, then delete. And if you run a shop through BinkGo, deleting your account also closes that shop and removes it from the app.
13. Children
BinkGo is meant for people aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, tell us through Help & Support and we will remove it.
14. Changes and how to reach us
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page. For a change that affects how we use information you have already given us, we will notify you in the app and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent again.
For any privacy question, an access or deletion request, or a complaint about how your data has been handled, use the Help & Support screen. If our answer does not resolve it, ask for the matter to be escalated to our grievance officer.
